Bobcat of the Peace, a division of Rentco Equipment Ltd., is seeking a full-time Parts Technician in Grande Prairie. You will handle customer inquiries in person, by phone, email, or Kenect, and process parts orders using POR.

You will stock parts, support service techs, verify shipments, and maintain low/high inventory levels. The role emphasizes customer service, attention to detail, and teamwork within a busy dealership environment.

Qualifications

• Journeyman/Journeyperson Parts Technician preferred or equivalent demonstrated experience.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and Windows.
• Excellent attention to detail, organization and time management.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service in person, over the phone, via email or Kenect for parts inquiries.
• Process parts purchases using POR according to Rentco procedures.
• Supply service technicians with parts ordered via requisition forms.
• Verify shipments by checking orders against documents.
• Report stock levels and shortages to the Service/Branch Manager.
• Maintain product knowledge through dealer-specific training.
• Keep the parts department stocked and orderly by maintaining min/max levels.

Job description

Bobcat of the Peace, a division of Rentco Equipment Ltd., is a fast-paced local company with over 60 years of dedicated service to Grande Prairie and the Peace Country. As a leading dealership, we specialize in Bobcat, Develon Heavy Equipment, Bobcat forklifts, Precision Trailers, and Grasshopper products. Our robust sales and service teams, coupled with a comprehensive parts inventory, ensure exceptional support for our valued customers.

We are currently looking for a full-time Parts Technician to join our team at Bobcat of the Peace in Grande Prairie.

As the Parts Technician, you are responsible for:

• Providing excellent customers service in-person, over the phone, via e-mail, or through Kenect by assisting them with their parts inquiries
• Processing customer’s parts purchases using Point of Rental (POR) and in accordance with Rentco’s procedures
• Supplying service technicians with parts ordered through parts requisition forms
• Verifying received shipments by checking order against shipping documents
• Reporting stock levels to Service Manager or Branch Manager, following up on shortages and reporting shortages to Manager
• Maintaining a high level of product and service knowledge through dealer specific training
• Keeping parts department stocked and orderly by maintaining min and max levels

You have the following education, training, and skills:

• Journeyman/Journeyperson Parts Technician (preferred), or equivalent demonstrated experience
• Intermediate computer skills with proficiency using the Microsoft Office suite and Windows
• Excellent attention to detail, organization, problem-solving, and time management skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with customers
• Able to perform basic mathematical calculations
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
