Job summary

AgeCare Ltd. is seeking a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) for a part-time position in Ajax, Ontario. The successful candidate will work with the nursing team to provide high-quality care to residents in a long-term care setting.

You will collaborate with the Registered Nurse, supervise Personal Support Workers, and participate in shift reports. A current Certificate of Competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in geriatric, rehabilitation or long-term care nursing.
• Knowledge of relevant provincial acts and nursing standards.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Registered Nurse to implement policies and procedures.
• Liaise with physicians and health care team members.
• Notify physician of significant changes in resident status in RN's absence.
• Provide direction to Personal Support Workers on the care team.
• Participate in shift reports to inform team of changes in resident status.
