Job summary

Extendicare is seeking an experienced Registered Practical Nurse to provide patient-centered nursing care in a long-term care setting in Ontario. The RPN will perform direct resident care, administer medications, and document care per provincial standards.

The role requires current RPN registration in Ontario, BCLS and First Aid certifications, and strong communication and care coordination skills. Part-time position with competitive hourly compensation in a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Practical Nurse licensed in Ontario.
• BCLS and First Aid certifications required.
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and care coordination skills essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct resident care, medication and treatment administration.
• Document care and plans accurately in accordance with regulations.
• Coordinate care plans with the interprofessional team and residents' decision makers.
• Assist with care conferences and transfers; participate as applicable.
• Support infection prevention, health and safety, and quality initiatives within the nursing department.
