Extendicare is seeking a part-time Food Service Aide to support meal service for residents. You will assist kitchen staff, prepare simple foods, and maintain high cleanliness and safety standards in a respectful, patient-centered environment.

The role requires standing, lifting, and the ability to work days, evenings, weekends, and statutory holidays. We provide a competitive compensation package and opportunities for professional growth within our Canadian long-term care network.

Competenze

• Standing for long periods is required.
• Ability to read and write English and understand simple instructions.
• Must be able to work safely following safety practices and procedures.
• Ability to perform moderate to heavy lifting.
• Must be available to work days, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Mansioni

• Serve food to residents according to individual diets and preferences.
• Observe meal serving time limits.
• Maintain foods at proper serving temperatures.
• Assist Cooks with preparation and cleaning of salads, vegetables, and fruits.
• Follow instructions for simple foods and garnishes.
• Clear plates and trays; operate dishwasher.
• Clean pots, pans, and utensils as per procedure.
• Store and label dietary supplies including leftovers.
• Attend in-service education and facility meetings as assigned.
• Extendicare duties as assigned by Supervisor.
