The role involves handling prescriptions, data entry, stock control, merchandising procedures, and clear communication with the pharmacist. Ideal candidates have accredited training or dispensary experience and strong customer service skills.

Qualifications

• Completed an accredited Pharmacy Assistant Program or have 2 years dispensary experience.
• Strong work ethic and "let's get it done" attitude.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Kroll computer experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Receiving written prescriptions and refill requests (written or verbal).
• Inputting patient and prescription information into the computer.
• Ordering, receiving, returning stock; perform expiry date checks and inventory corrections.
• Adhering to merchandising programs, procedures and company policies.
• Communicating allergy interactions and relevant billing information to the pharmacist.

We are hiring for a Pharmacy Assistant at our Pembina location in Winnipeg, BC.

You will be responsible for:

• Receiving written prescriptions and written or verbal refill requests.
• Inputting all patient and prescription information into the computer.
• Performing all tasks related to ordering, receiving, and returning stock, expiry date checks, balance owing and inventory corrections.
• Adhering to merchandising programs, operational procedures, and company policies.
• Communicating allergy interaction and relevant billing information to the pharmacist.

You have:

• Completed an accredited Pharmacy Assistant Program or have 2 years dispensary experience.
