Job summary

Save-On-Foods is hiring a Pharmacy Assistant for the Hunterhorn location in Calgary, AB. You will support the pharmacy team with prescription processing, stock management, and customer service in a fast-paced community setting.

Ideal candidates have completed an accredited Pharmacy Assistant Program or 2 years of dispensary experience, strong communication skills, and a proactive, team-oriented attitude. Competitive benefits, pension, and growth opportunities are offered.

• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Receiving prescriptions and refill requests.
• Inputting patient and prescription data into the computer.
• Ordering, receiving, returning stock and inventory checks.
• Adhering to procedures and company policies.
• Communicating allergy, interactions and billing info to the pharmacist.

We are hiring for a Pharmacy Assistant at our Hunterhorn location in Calgary, AB.

You will be responsible for:

• Receiving written prescriptions and written or verbal refill requests.
• Inputting all patient and prescription information into the computer.
• Performing all tasks related to ordering, receiving, and returning stock, expiry date checks, balance owing and inventory corrections.
• Adhering to merchandising programs, operational procedures, and company policies.
• Communicating allergy interaction and relevant billing information to the pharmacist.

You have:

• Completed an accredited Pharmacy Assistant Program or have 2 years dispensary experience.
• A strong work ethic and “let’s get it done” attitude.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Kroll computer experience is an asset.
