Job summary

Travelodge Ottawa East is seeking a friendly, customer-focused Part-Time Front Desk Agent to join our team. The role involves welcoming guests, handling check-ins/outs, and providing local recommendations in both French and English.

Shifts vary throughout the week, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Previous hotel front desk experience is an asset but not required; strong communication and multitasking skills are essential to success.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospitality or front desk is an asset.
• Strong communication and friendly, professional approach.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities.
• Attention to detail with reservations, payments and guest information.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests, manage check-ins and check-outs, assign rooms, and issue room keys or access cards.
• Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance to address guest concerns and communicate room status and vacancies
• Process guest payments, verify credit card information at check-in, and review charges at check-out
• Assist guests with transportation arrangements, restaurant reservations, local attractions, and recommendations
• Take, confirm, and manage reservations, and maintain accurate records of room availability
• Respond to guest questions, requests, and concerns in a friendly and professional manner
• Answer incoming calls and direct inquiries to the appropriate departments or team members
• Help ensure a positive guest experience by maintaining a welcoming and organized front desk
