Job summary

The Corporation of the Town of Whitby is seeking a Frontline Facility Attendant to perform routine cleaning in public washrooms, changerooms, and common areas, ensuring safety and accessibility for patrons. The role also covers exterior area upkeep, snow removal, and supporting ice resurfacing or pool readings as needed.

You will respond to inquiries and help with booking setups. Candidates should be physically fit, able to lift and push heavy objects, and provide a satisfactory police record

Qualifications

• Minimum Grade 11 education.
• Demonstrated customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Physically fit and capable of lifting and moving heavy objects.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine facility cleaning in washrooms, changerooms, and common areas.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of exterior areas, including garbage, snow removal, and salting.
• Assist with ice resurfacing and/or pool readings as directed.
• Respond to public and staff inquiries and provide assistance.
• Set up or tear down facility spaces according to booking schedules.
• Assist in other duties as assigned.
