The Corporation of the Town of Whitby is seeking a Frontline Facility Attendant to perform routine cleaning in public washrooms, changerooms, and common areas, ensuring safety and accessibility for patrons. The role also covers exterior area upkeep, snow removal, and supporting ice resurfacing or pool readings as needed.

You will respond to inquiries and help with booking setups. Candidates should be physically fit, able to lift and push heavy objects, and provide a satisfactory police record

Qualifications

  • Respond to public and staff inquiries and provide assistance.
  • Set up or tear down facility spaces according to booking schedules.
  • Assist in other duties as assigned.

What You Will Get To Do
  • Performing routine facility cleaning in all public washrooms, changerooms, and common areas and ensuring facilities are safe and user friendly for patrons.
  • Maintain cleanliness, and safety of exterior areas of the facilities including emptying garbage receptacles, snow removal and salting.
  • assisting with ice resurfacing and/or pool readings under the direction of the Full Time Facility Attendant.
  • Responding to public and staff inquiries, providing assistance when required.
  • Set up and/or tear down of facility spaces according to booking schedules.
  • and, Assisting in other duties as assigned.

What You Bring To Our Team
  • a minimum Grade11 education
  • demonstrated customer service and interpersonal skills and ability to deal courteously and effectively with user groups, general public and program participants
  • physically fit and capable of lifting, pushing and pulling heavy objects
  • and, successful candidates will be required to provide to the Corporation a satisfactory police record check to work with the vulnerable sector as a condition of employment
What We Offer You

Salary Range/Hourly rate: $19.50 - $21.65 Hybrid information: Frontline Hours: Flex hours, including days, evenings and weekends (maximum of 24 hours per week).
