Job summary

City of Richmond Hill is seeking a Facility Attendant II - Community Centres to keep facilities clean and safe and support program setups. The role works up to 24 hours per week with a flexible schedule that will include evenings and weekends.

Reporting to the Supervisor of Facility Operations - Community Centres and Pools, you will perform opening/closing, set-up and cleaning duties, and communicate with staff and permit holders to maintain a welcoming environment.

Qualifications

  • Standard first aid and CPR training.
  • AED certification is required.
  • Strong communication and customer service abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Open and close the facility.
  • Set up and take down tables, chairs and equipment.
  • General cleaning and routine maintenance of the centre.
  • Complete daily safety and facility checklists.
  • Communicate with supervisors, staff and permit holders.

Position Summary

Reporting to the Supervisor of Facility Operations - Community Centresand Pools, the Facility Attendant II - Community Centres,will be responsible for keeping all areas of the facility clean and safe and ensure that program setups are completed. The position works a maximum of 24 hours per week with a flexible schedule that will include evenings and weekends.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
  • Openingand Closing of the facility.
  • Set-up and take down of tables, chairs and program equipment.
  • General cleaning of community centre which will include mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, garbage pick-up and when applicable, cleaning entrance ways/exits from snow.
  • Completing daily facility and safety check lists.
  • Communicate with Supervisors, Full time Operatorsand Asset Management.
  • Communicating effectively with permit holders and general public.
  • Learn and apply safety measures from training (WHMIS, PPE, Proper Lifting, etc.).
  • Experience in facility maintenance preferred.
Education and Experience
  • Standard first Aid, CPR
  • AED Certified

  • Ability to successfully complete Customer Service Training, Accessibility Training, and WHMIS Training.
