Job summary

Oxford Learning Markham Boxgrove is seeking a part-time elementary teacher/tutor to work after school and on Saturdays. The role involves teaching up to three students at a time, in person at the Markham Boxgrove location, following the company’s pre-planned lessons and proprietary teaching philosophy.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree (or similar) with tutoring experience, strong English communication, and knowledge of the K-8 curriculum.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or similar certification in a relevant field.
• Fourth year university students with extensive tutoring experience will be considered.
• Teaching certification an asset.
• Good knowledge of the current Kindergarten to Grade 8 curriculum.

Responsibilities

• Teach up to 3 students at a time in-person or online with pre-planned lessons.
• Maintain daily student updates and post-lesson notes.
• Follow Oxford Learning methodologies and philosophies.
• Engage with students in a friendly, professional manner.
