Job summary

Oxford Learning Markham East is seeking a part‑time Math Teacher/Tutor to teach after‑school and evenings (4:00 pm–8:00 pm) and some Saturdays (10:00 am–1:00 pm). The in‑person role requires commuting to the Markham East location and serving up to three students per session.

Responsibilities include delivering lessons, taking post‑lesson notes, and maintaining professional communication with students. A Bachelor’s degree or related certification is required; English and math proficiency are

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or similar certification in a relevant field (or fourth‑year university student with tutoring experience).
• Strong English written and oral communication skills.
• Strong math skills with ability to guide students’ understanding.
• Up to three students at a time; multitasking ability.
• Teaching certification is an asset.
• Good knowledge of Grades 3–10 math curriculum.

Responsibilities

• Teach up to three students at a time at different grade levels (Grades 3–10).
• Deliver lessons using Oxford Learning methodologies and philosophies.
• Fill in post‑lesson notes and complete daily student communication updates.
• Maintain a friendly and professional manner at all times.
