Job summary

Paqtnkek Preschool/Daycare invites a caring, reliable Part-Time Cook to prepare nutritious meals and snacks for our Mi’kmaw focused environment. Hours are 4 per day, Monday through Friday, and you will report to the Daycare Director.

You will follow health and sanitation guidelines, manage kitchen inventory, accommodate dietary needs, and work with staff to ensure smooth mealtime. Requirements include a valid Food Handling Certificate, background checks, and prior cooking experience, ideally in

Qualifications

• Valid Food Handling Course Certification (required).
• Criminal Background Check and Vulnerable Sector Check (required).
• Previous cooking experience, preferably in a daycare, school setting.
• Ability to work independently and maintain a clean, safe kitchen.
• Reliable, punctual, and committed to the well-being of children.
