Job summary

BrightPath Kids in Brampton is seeking a part-time kitchen helper to support meal prep for children. You will handle bulk food orders, follow a weekly recipe plan, and ensure safety and cleanliness in the kitchen according to public health rules.

The role requires food handling certification and First Aid/Infant CPR, with experience in cooking for groups seen as an asset. This position offers a benefits-friendly childcare environment and flexible hours from 8 AM to 4 PM.

Qualifications

• Must hold valid Food Handling Certification and First Aid/Infant CPR.
• Experience cooking for large groups is an asset.
• Strong time management in a kitchen/childcare setting.

Responsibilities

• Organize orders for bulk food weekly and daily shopping as needed.
• Prepare meals from a set menu with weekly recipes.
• Maintain safety and sanitization per Public Health guidelines.
• Adhere to dietary restrictions for children in the centre.
• Wash dishes after meals.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Pay Range: $17.60 - $19.50 per hour

Job Type: Part-Time, 8 AM - 4 PM

What will you be doing?

• Organizing orders for bulk food weekly and daily shopping as needed.
• Preparing meals from a set menu with recipes provided weekly.
• Ensuring safety and sanitization in the kitchen environment as per Public Health requirements.
• Understanding dietary restrictions in centre for individual children.
• Washing dishes after meals.
• Other duties as assigned.
