Job summary

The Byng Group is a leading interior renovation general contractor with more than 50 years' experience and a team of over 500, specializing in high-rise rental properties. We are looking for experienced Painters to join our Kingston team and surrounding areas.

We require at least 3 years of painting experience and that you bring your own tools. You will be assessed on quality and speed, and must be able to problem solve on-site and off-site while following a daily, weekly and monthly task

Qualifications

• At least 3 years' experience in painting or drywall finishing.
• Ability to follow and complete daily, weekly and monthly task schedules.
• Quality and speed are assessed on-site.
• Able to problem solve on-site and off-site.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces to be plastered.
• Fill in nicks and cuts in ceilings, walls, and partitions using plaster.
• Repair walls with drywall.
• Sand areas after each coat to make drywall paint-ready.
• Drywall repairs, taping and plastering.
• Drywall installation and framing with metal studs are assets.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepares surfaces to be plastered.
• Fills in nicks and cuts in ceilings, walls, and partitions using plaster.
• Repair walls with drywall
• Sand areas after each coat making drywall paint-ready
• Drywall Repairs, Taping and Plastering
• Drywall Installation is considered an asset
• Framing with Metal Studs considered an asset
