Job summary

The Byng Group, a leading interior renovation contractor in Ottawa, is seeking experienced Painters to join our team. You will prepare surfaces, plaster, repair walls with drywall, and ensure finishes meet our high standards on rental properties.

Own tools are required. You should be able to follow a daily, weekly, and monthly task schedule and work well with a team. With over 50 years of experience and a workforce of 500+, we offer a stable, professional environment.

Qualifications

• 3 years’ painting/renovation experience.
• Own tools are required; tools are not supplied.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces to be plastered.
• Fill in nicks and cuts in ceilings, walls, and partitions using plaster.
• Repair walls with drywall.
• Sand areas after each coat to make drywall paint-ready.
• Drywall repairs, taping and plastering.
• Drywall installation is considered an asset.
• Framing with metal studs considered an asset.

We are looking for experienced Painters to join our team in Ottawa

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepares surfaces to be plastered
• Fills in nicks and cuts in ceilings, walls, and partitions using plaster
• Repair walls with drywall
• Sand areas after each coat making drywall paint-ready
• Drywall Repairs, Taping and Plastering
• Drywall Installation is considered an asset
• Framing with Metal Studs considered an asset

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• At least 3years’ experience
• Own Tools Required. They are not supplied
• Quality and Speed are assessed.
• Able to problem solve on-site and off-site
• Ability to follow and complete a daily, weekly & monthly task schedule
