Job summary

The Byng Group, a leading interior renovation contractor in Canada, is seeking experienced Painters to join their team in Lambton County, Sarnia. You'll be responsible for painting various surfaces, preparing them for plastering, and performing drywall repairs. Candidates need at least 3 years’ experience and must own their tools. Qualifications

• At least 3 years’ experience as a Painter.
• Quality workmanship and speed are assessed.
• Ability to follow a task schedule daily, weekly & monthly.

Responsibilities

• Paint walls, ceilings, doors, and hallways in Apartment Units.
• Prepare surfaces for plastering and repair walls with drywall.
• Sand areas after each coat to make drywall paint-ready.

Skills

Ability to problem solve on-site and off-site

The Byng Group is a leading interior renovation general contractor with more than 50 years' experience and a team of over 500, specializing in high-rise rental properties.

We are looking for experienced Painters to join our team in London/Sarnia.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Paint walls, ceilings, doors, hallways, shelving in Apartment Units.
• Prepares surfaces to be plastered.
• Fills in nicks and cuts in ceilings, walls, and partitions using plaster.
• Repair walls with drywall
• Sand areas after each coat making drywall paint-ready
• Drywall Repairs, Taping and Plastering
• Drywall Installation is considered an asset
• Framing with Metal Studs considered an asset

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• At least 3 years’ experience
• Own Tools Required. They are not supplied.
• Quality and Speed are assessed.
• Able to problem solve on-site and off-site
• Ability to follow and complete a daily, weekly & monthly task schedule
