Job summary

Brightshores in Owen Sound is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to support Day Surgery and PACU. You will assess patients, provide nursing care, and coordinate with the surgical team for safe recovery.

The role requires current Ontario RN registration, PACU experience, and strong communication. This is a full-time temporary position with an approximate end date in February 2027.

Qualifications

Ontario College of Nurses registration or eligibility.
Minimum 2 years PACU and acute care nursing within the past 5 years.
Broad surgical experience across subspecialties.
Post Anaesthetic Course completed within last 3 years.
Certifications in basic life support and venipuncture handling.
Computer skills in Cerner, Powerchart and Surginet.

Responsibilities

Promote health and assess patients in Day Surgery and PACU.
Provide therapeutic and preventive nursing care for adults and children.
Collaborate with healthcare teams and families for safe recovery.
Maintain patient safety and accurate charting in systems.
