Job summary

Alberta Health Services is seeking an Occupational Therapist I to join the Home and Community Care team in Edmonton. You will deliver OT services in clients’ homes across age groups, conducting assessments and implementing interventions to promote independence and function.

The role emphasizes collaboration with families and a range of health professionals, with an orientation program to support new graduates and continuous quality improvement across care settings.

Qualifications

• Completion of bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy and registration with ACOT.
• Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy preferred.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support - Healthcare Provider (BCLS HCP) required.

Responsibilities

• Provide evidence-informed OT services focusing on occupational performance in clients’ homes.
• Perform triage, screening, assessment, diagnosis, and collaborative goal setting.
• Develop equipment recommendations and home environmental adaptations to enhance safety.
• Collaborate with families, caregivers, and interprofessional teams to support independence.
