The Organizational Change Management (OCM) Professional will lead and execute all change management, communication, and stakeholder engagement activities to ensure smooth operational transitions during each phase of a major renovation project at the University of Saskatchewan (USask). The individual will be responsible for designing and implementing effective change management strategies, conducting workshops, and aligning operational readiness with construction milestones.
This role requires a single, dedicated individual who will remain engaged for the full duration of the project term, working closely with USask collaborators to drive change success, minimize disruption, and maintain operational functionality throughout the renovation process.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead organizational change management (OCM) activities to support each phase of renovation and transition.
- Conduct stakeholder engagement sessions, workshops, and focus groups to gather insights and ensure alignment.
- Develop and implement change management, communication, and readiness strategies.
- Align construction phasing and operational priorities to ensure continuous service delivery.
- Support training development, communication rollout, and transition planning to enable stakeholder adoption.
- Partner with USask teams to analyze operational workflows and develop creative, lean solutions for change implementation.
- Maintain ongoing collaboration and reporting with project sponsors, leadership, and operational leads.
- Document meeting notes, outcomes, and follow-ups for all change-related sessions.
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of organizational change management experience supporting large-scale, multi-disciplinary transformation or renovation projects.
- Strong facilitation, analytical, communication, and project management skills.
- Proven ability to develop and execute effective OCM strategies in complex operational environments.
- Experience working in higher education or healthcare settings preferred.
- PROSCI or PMP certification desirable.
- Must be able to attend all required on-site meetings and workshops at the University of Saskatchewan during the project duration.
- Ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders at all organizational levels.
Preferred / Asset Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience supporting occupied renovation projects while maintaining business continuity.
- Previous experience in veterinary medicine clinics, medical hospitals, or higher education.
- Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills, including workshop facilitation and stakeholder communication.
- Strong understanding of complex operational schedules, resource overlap, and workflow mapping.
- Leadership skills with a focus on collaboration and solution-oriented outcomes.
- Relevant accreditations, certifications, or continuing education in organizational change or project management.
