Overview Job Skills / Requirements

We are seeking experienced Operators for a full-time role on overnight ("graveyards") and evening shifts during weekends and 3 weekdays.

  • Pay Rate: $32.85/hour
  • Signing Bonus: $1,000 signing bonus to applicants internally transferring from other Paladin branches if hired by February 16, 2026.
    Bonus is subject to terms, including a one-year minimum commitment to full-time work in this position.

In this role, you will be coordinating the emergency response, monitoring, and dispatching the appropriate resources to our client facility across the province. Our Security Command Centre (SCC) ensures a 24/7 communication link between client field staff, management, on-call personnel, and various subcontractors. Our Security Command Centre provides a centralized point of contact for any security incident that occurs on or in relation to a client facility or property.

Our Operators must have the ability to direct, communicate, and instruct officers in the field. This position requires that all Operators be prepared to provide an exceptional level of customer service and support to both internal and external customers, as well as other Paladin employees.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor alarm events, live incidents, and surveillance video
  • Dispatch emergency services and security staff when needed
  • Handle after-hours service requests and triage tech/system issues
  • Maintain detailed incident logs and evidence reports
  • Operate integrated software platforms (CCTV, Access Control, Intrusion)
  • Manage high-volume communication via phone, email, and internal systems
  • Conduct daily compliance audits
  • Remain calm, organized, and professional in high-stress scenarios
  • Other duties as required to meet operational needs
Requirements
  • Minimum 1 year of work experience in the security industry
  • Minimum 6 months of security control centre or command center work experience (call centre / customer service alone is not sufficient)
  • Minimum 6 months of experience administering security access software (e.g., Lenel, GE, DSC, Keyscan) with resource-dispatching / deployment experience
  • Minimum 6 months using integrated security systems (CCTV, access control, intrusion detection)
  • Operational knowledge of alarm receivers and servers (e.g., BOSCH, Milestone)
  • Positive customer service experience in a professional environment
  • Strong computer proficiency, especially in Microsoft Office; minimum typing speed of 40 wpm
  • Legal authorization to work in Canada
  • Strong time management, organizational, and prioritization skills
  • Ability to work independently in high-pressure, fast-paced environments
  • High level of discretion and confidentiality in handling sensitive information
  • Experience working with Photo ID software, hardware, and HID card systems
  • Experience programming and monitoring integrated software (e.g., Lenel, Bold, DSC, GE, Europlex, Keyscan)
