Job summary

Triple M Metal LP in Brampton, Canada is seeking a heavy equipment operator to join our team. You will operate excavators, scrap handlers, and front end loaders, load and sort scrap, and perform pre-operational checks.

The role offers an alternating 12-hour day schedule, competitive hourly pay of 27.82–29.22 CAD, health and pension benefits, boot allowance, uniforms, and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid Driver’s License.
• Strong communication both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Operate a variety of heavy equipment including Excavator, Scrap Handler, Front End Loader.
• Operate attachments such as Grapple, Magnet, etc.
• Load scrap metal and sort, stack, and process materials as directed.
• Perform pre-operational checks and maintain equipment.
• Maintain a safe and orderly working environment.

Compensation

Based on experience. Between the range of $27.82 -$29.22

When

Days – Alternating Schedule

• Week 1 7:00AM to 7:00PM Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday
• Week 2 7:00AM to 7:00PM Wednesday & Thursday

What’s Expected

• Operate a variety of heavy equipment including Excavator, Scrap Handler, Front End Loader
• Operate various attachments as assigned (e.g. Grapple, Magnet etc.);
• Load scrap metal as assigned;
• Sort, stack, process materials as directed;
• Clean, lubricate, check and replenish fluids as directed;
• Complete pre-operational equipment check and other documentation as assigned;
• Operate two‑way radio or other communication devices as required;
• Maintain a safe and orderly working environment;
• Other general duties as assigned by Manager.

What's Required

• Must exhibit Triple M Metal LP's Core Values of Respect, Excellence, Integrity, Team and Pride;
• Previous experience operating Excavator, Front End Loader, Rock Truck;
• Must have a valid Driver’s License;
• Strong communication both written and verbal;
• OSSD or equivalent is preferred but not required.
