Job summary

Nortera is seeking a Plant Supervisor in Strathroy, Ontario. You will report to the Operations Manager and help drive operational excellence with a people-first safety focus in a fast-paced production environment.

The role requires flexibility to rotate between day and night 12-hour continental shifts, overseeing staffing, safety initiatives, and continuous improvement across the plant. We value strong leadership, communication, and proactive problem-solving in a diverse team setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience in a similar role is preferred.
• Post-secondary degree or diploma in a related discipline or equivalent knowledge/experience.
• Excellent interpersonal/listening skills to interact with a diverse workforce; a communicator with proven leadership abilities.
• A proactive, problem-solver with the courage to lead change.
• A positive, energetic attitude and natural leadership qualities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor scheduling of team members to ensure proper staffing, identify staffing needs, and participate in onboarding and training.
• Lead the plant safety, food safety, and waste reduction programs in our operation.
• Develop working knowledge of equipment to support coaching and mentorship of team members.
• Conduct regular departmental tours and participate in daily meetings; inspect equipment and premises to ensure a safe work environment.
• Support standardized processes to improve operational efficiency.

Pay Range: $73,000 to $83,000 annually

Your daily role:
