Job summary

Nortera Foods Inc. is seeking a Daytime Packaging Supervisor (7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.) to lead floor operations at the Bedford Estrie plant. You will drive daily and weekly meetings, monitor packaging metrics, and help implement LEAN initiatives to improve safety, quality and productivity.

Reporting to the Director of Operations, you will coordinate with QA and OHS, participate in continuous improvement, and ensure department procedures are current and effective.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in a similar position.
• DEC in operations management or equivalent experience.
• Expertise with Word, Excel & PowerPoint.
• Autonomy and initiative in daily tasks.
• Commitment to health, safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily/weekly production meetings with floor teams (DMS).
• Update and monitor packaging efficiency and productivity indicators daily.
• Support LEAN program deployment in packaging.
• Analyze deviations and propose corrective actions with the director.
• Collaborate with QA and OHS to monitor action plans and improve procedures.

Reporting to the Director of Operations, the holder of this position must collaborate with the various stakeholders to ensure that all of the department's operations meet the performance indicators. Its objective is to maintain, propose and implement tools to improve performance from floor to packaging. He coordinates workforce planning and updating department procedures.

THE ROLE:

• Participate and lead daily and/or weekly production meetings with the teams in charge of floor operations (DMS);
• Updates and maintains the efficiency and productivity indicators of the packaging department on a daily basis;
• Support the implementation of the LEAN program in the packaging department;
• Analyze the causes of deviations, problems and propose corrective actions to establish an improvement action plan in collaboration with the director;
• Work in collaboration with the various QA and OHS departments to ensure monitoring of action plans in order to maintain/implement production, safety, quality (Datahex) and health procedures. Propose updates with a view to improving them;

PROFILE:

• 3 to 5 years in a similar position;
• DEC in operations management or experience considered sufficient;
• Excellent knowledge of the Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
• Have autonomy and a sense of initiative;
• Be concerned about health and safety at work and Quality;
