Job summary

Nortera Foods Inc. is seeking a results-oriented supervisor to join our North American operations. You will report to the Operations Manager and guide a team focused on safety, quality, and efficiency while driving continuous improvement across the plant.

This role requires flexibility to rotate between day and night 12-hour continental shifts, with responsibilities including staffing, coaching, and leading safety initiatives to uphold our high standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience in a similar role.
• Post-secondary degree/diploma in a related discipline or equivalent knowledge/experience.
• Excellent interpersonal/listening skills for a diverse workforce.
• A proactive problem-solver with leadership qualities.
• A positive, energetic attitude and natural leadership.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor scheduling to ensure proper staffing; participate in onboarding and training.
• Lead plant safety and food safety programs and waste reduction initiatives.
• Develop knowledge of equipment to coach and mentor team members.
• Conduct regular departmental tours, daily meetings, and safety inspections.
• Support standardized processes to improve operational efficiency.

Pay Range: $73,000 to $83,000 annually

Your daily role:

You will report to the Operations Manager and join a team that is committed to operational excellence with a focus on people and safety while striving to continually improve all facets of the business.

Note this role requires flexibility to rotate between day and night 12 hours continental shifts.

• Coordinate and monitor scheduling of team members to ensure proper staffing; identify staffing needs; and participate in onboarding and training of team members
• Assume a leadership role in the plant safety, food safety, waste reduction program in our operation;
• Develop a working knowledge of equipment to support coaching and mentorship of team members;
• Conduct regular departmental tours and participate in daily meetings; conduct inspections of equipment and premises to ensure a safe work environment
• Support standardized processes to impact operational efficiency

Your profile:

• Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience in similar role is preferred;
