Job summary

Interfor in Belledune, New Brunswick, is offering an Operations Intern role for a May start, on-site with a 4- to 8-month term. You will work with experienced professionals to understand people, equipment, technology, and processes in a modern manufacturing environment.

You’ll gain practical experience, support process improvements, and build leadership and analytical skills while learning how a wood products operation runs day-to-day.

What You’ll Do

• Gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and learn how a modern sawmill operates.
• Explore production processes and discover how teams work together to safely produce quality wood products.
• Contribute to projects focused on process improvement, operational efficiency, and production performance.
• Analyze data and observations to identify opportunities for improvement across mill operations.
• Work alongside experienced operations professionals while building leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

• You are working toward a degree or diploma in Wood Products Processing, Business, Operations Management, Engineering (Industrial or Mechanical), Supply Chain, or another industry-related program.
