Job summary

Moneris in Toronto is seeking a Systems Technician to install, troubleshoot and service a broad range of electronic equipment at merchant sites. You will join the operations team in their assigned region to ensure timely, high-quality issue resolution and customer satisfaction.

The role requires a post-secondary certificate in electronics or IT, with at least two years in a technical, client-facing capacity.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary certificate in electronics, information technology or related field. Equivalent work experience may be considered.
• A valid provincial driver's license.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in a technical, client-facing role
• Experience testing and solving issues relating to computing, network, or POS terminals.
• Knowledge of computers, general networking concepts, internet usage, and MS Office (Word, Excel).

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, and service a wide range of electronic equipment and peripherals such as computers, printers, networks, cash registers, POS systems, security cameras, and perform cabling installations and software updates.
• Analyze problems and make recommendations to causes and corrective actions to ensure merchants are satisfied with issue resolution.
• Install computers, printers, cash registers and POS systems and upgrade software.
• Develop and maintain great relationships with our merchants by demonstrating professionalism at all times.
• Maintain tools, equipment, materials, the company vehicle and the general working environment.
• Work closely with team members to resolve merchant issues and share technical knowledge and field experience with other technicians.
• Where required, safely perform work involving ladders, elevated equipment or working at heights in accordance with applicable training and safety requirements.
