Job summary

BFG Enterprise seeks a Field IT Service Technician to deliver on-site connectivity and hardware troubleshooting for customer sites across Canada. You will install, repair and support POS peripherals, printers, servers and network devices while documenting work and ensuring quality.

The role requires travel on short notice, rotating day/night shifts, and a valid Class 5 driver’s licence. Strong communication and safety culture are essential to success.

Qualifications

• CompTIA A+ certification or equivalent knowledge.
• Bachelor's degree in information technology or related field.
• 3–5 years IT field services experience with software/hardware exposure.
• Retail environment experience with POS systems.
• Willingness to travel and work variable shifts; valid driver's licence.

Responsibilities

• Provide field technical service and support at customer sites in Canada.
• Troubleshoot connectivity and hardware issues; install and configure devices.
• Replace scanners, POS peripherals, printers and workstations as needed.
• Prepare field reports and liaise with Help Desk on escalations.
• Ensure safety policies are followed and maintain organized work area.
• Travel on short notice to customer sites; support on rotating day/night shifts.
