  • Manage employee attendance, engagement, and performance discussions.
  • Conduct regular associate touchpoints and provide coaching as needed.
  • Support employee retention and foster a positive, inclusive workplace culture.
  • Coordinate recruitment activities, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding candidates.
  • Assess candidates for culture fit, mechanical aptitude, coachability, and long-term potential.
  • Maintain compliance with company policies, employment standards, and client requirements.
  • Manage HR administration, including employee records, onboarding documentation, reporting, scheduling, and payroll support.
  • Build strong relationships with client stakeholders through regular communication and weekly touchpoints.
  • Provide updates on staffing levels, attendance, onboarding progress, and workforce performance.
  • Proactively identify and resolve workforce-related challenges.
  • Coordinate new hire onboarding and ensure readiness for client training programs.
  • Communicate workplace policies, safety requirements, and shift expectations to new employees.

Position Summary

We are seeking a proactive, relationship-focused Onsite Manager to support our manufacturing client in Midland, Ontario. This role serves as the primary liaison between our workforce, client leadership, and internal operations teams, ensuring a positive employee experience while supporting attendance, performance management, recruitment, compliance, and workforce planning.

The ideal candidate is someone who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, demonstrates strong people leadership skills, and possesses a positive attitude, patience, and a commitment to continuous learning. Success in this role requires a strong cultural fit, excellent communication skills, coachability, and the ability to build trusted relationships across all levels of the organization.

This position will support a clean, controlled manufacturing environment and work closely with client stakeholders to ensure operational needs are met.

Key Responsibilities

Qualifications & Experience
  • 2-3 years of experience in recruitment, staffing, HR coordination, employee relations, or workforce management.
  • Strong understanding of compliance requirements and HR best practices.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with employees, clients, and internal teams.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Valid driver's license with the ability to travel between local client sites.
  • Manufacturing, industrial, or onsite workforce management experience preferred.
  • Experience with attendance management, performance coaching, interviewing, and candidate assessments.
  • Knowledge of HR administration, onboarding, and compliance processes.
  • Positive attitude, professionalism, and strong cultural fit.
  • Coachable, patient, and willing to learn.
  • Team-oriented with strong accountability and attention to detail.
  • Ability to adapt to changing business needs and workforce demands.
  • Demonstrated initiative and commitment to long-term client and employee success.
