Job summary

Allps GmbH seeks a hands-on Worksite Support Technician to provide deskside and field IT support across County Hall and nearby facilities in the Sherwood Park area. You will deploy and configure end-user devices, troubleshoot peripherals, support AV equipment, and maintain asset records.

This onsite role requires strong customer service, attention to detail, safe practices, and the ability to travel between multiple County facilities within ~50 km of Sherwood Park.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of hands-on deskside or end-user IT support experience.
• Experience deploying and configuring computers and peripherals.
• Familiarity with meeting-room AV equipment and connectivity.
• Knowledge of basic network cabling and patching.
• Experience tracking IT assets and documenting equipment assignments.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel between facilities.
• Ability to work onsite in the Edmonton / Sherwood Park area.

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite deskside and field IT support for Windows 11 desktops and laptops.
• Image, configure, deploy, replace, and retrieve end-user devices per procedures.
• Troubleshoot hardware, OS, peripherals, and connectivity issues.
• Install/ configure monitors, docking stations, keyboards, mice, headsets, webcams.
• Diagnose and resolve printer issues and manage AV equipment setups.
• Set up and troubleshoot meeting-room AV gear and room connections.
• Assist with iPhone/iPad setup managed through Microsoft Intune.
• Perform basic network cabling and patching per standards.
• Maintain hardware inventory, asset tags, serial numbers, and deployments.
• Record work and resolutions in ITSM or asset management system.
• Follow security, access, and workplace safety procedures.
