Job summary

Encore Canada seeks a Technician to set up and operate basic audiovisual systems in a hospitality setting. You will ensure guest satisfaction, troubleshoot issues, and maintain strong client relationships on site at hotels and events.

The role requires 1 year of AV or hospitality experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to lift 50 lbs. You will work with Navigator and other systems, with irregular hours including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma is required; Associate degree preferred.
  • Achieve Technical Level 3 Certification within 180 days.
  • 1 year of customer service or hospitality experience preferred.
  • 1 year of audio-visual experience or equivalent in educational environment preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license required for team members that may operate company vehicles.
  • DOT requirement may need to be met if applicable.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Set up, operate and breakdown basic AV equipment for events.
  • Provide excellent customer service and maintain client relationships.
  • Troubleshoot equipment and software issues promptly and professionally.
  • Follow venue safety requirements and supplier protocols.
  • Complete accurate systems entry and paperwork; assist invoicing and up-selling.
  • Load/unload, label, and scan gear as needed.
