Job summary

Encore Canada is seeking a Technical Services Representative to set up, operate, and dismantle audio visual equipment at events and client venues. You will service trade shows, hotel conventions, and staging events, ensuring all equipment is prepared and tested prior to show time.

Ideal candidates have 2–3+ years in customer service or hospitality and AV experience, with a valid driver’s license. Occasional heavy lifting, travel to events, and on-site coordination may be required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma with 2+ years in a similar role OR a post-secondary diploma in a relevant domain.
• 2-3+ years of customer service or hospitality experience preferred.
• 2-3+ years of audio visual experience required.
• Setup knowledge of AV equipment listed in the qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and dismantle AV equipment at events.
• Service trade shows, hotel conventions, and staging events.
• Verify completed purchase orders and ensure equipment readiness.
• Load/unload trucks and lift heavy equipment.
• Climb stairs and ladders as needed.
• Test and troubleshoot equipment before events.
• Prepare reports on events per company procedure.
• Represent the company professionally on-site.
• May lead a TSR team and coordinate freelancers when required.
• Perform other assigned duties.
