Job summary

Long View Systems is seeking a Deskside Consultant to join the Vancouver BC branch. You will deploy and support laptops, provision Windows devices with Intune Autopilot, and deliver excellent on-site customer service to clients in Vancouver.

This role involves mentoring teammates, upskilling, and upholding security and service standards. The ideal candidate has 5+ years IT support experience in a Microsoft environment, strong communication skills, and proficiency with AD, VPN, Citrix, and remote

Qualifications

• 5+ years of IT support experience in a Microsoft environment.
• Knowledge of server operations, infrastructure, and web interfaces.
• Hands-on experience with Windows, Linux, and Mac OS environments.
• Experience with Microsoft Office 365 and remote support.
• Proficiency with PC/printer hardware, VPN, and Citrix.
• Knowledge of Active Directory and remote management tools.
• Ability to identify issues, escalate when needed, and resolve problems.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and support laptops and peripherals for new and existing users, following team standards.
• Provision Windows 11 devices using Intune Autopilot; provide Tier 1 end-user support.
• Deliver clear, professional communication with customers, stakeholders, and service providers.
• Troubleshoot and resolve deskside issues, escalating and tracking incidents as needed.
• Mentor and support less experienced team members on-site and remotely.
• Ensure compliance with client IT security, technology standards, and service practices.
• Follow and model Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental policies and safe work practices.
• Support office technology such as printers, AV, video conferencing, and meeting room equipment.
• Participate in regional IT team collaboration to ensure consistent service delivery.
• Contribute to continuous improvement in end-user support, service quality, and customer satisfaction.
