Job summary

Midland Transport is seeking an Office Clerk at our St John's Terminal, NL. The successful candidate will be a self-starter with a strong work ethic and a ‘Can Do’ attitude.

The contract runs from Sept 15 to Dec 15, offering a range of benefits and growth opportunities within the Midland and JD Irving group. Responsibilities include customer service by phone, email, and in person; scheduling, payroll support, and handling POD and OS&D records.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma required.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

  • Problem solving with required sense of urgency.

Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service by phone, email, and in person.
  • Respond to customer inquiries and coordinate appointment requests.
  • Complete driver check-in and employee time entry and support payroll administration.
  • Ensure shipment documentation, scanning, and POD records are accurate and complete.
  • Process reports of OS&D (Overages, Shortages and Damages).
  • Maintain organized files, records, office supplies, and inventory.
  • Support terminal leadership with reporting, data collection, and administrative tasks.
