Job summary

Midland Transport is seeking a Terminal Manager for the Saint John, NB terminal. The role reports to the Director, Operations - Atlantic and oversees daily terminal operations to ensure safe, efficient and cost-effective service delivery.

Responsibilities include leading operational targets, promoting Irving Values, improving workforce engagement, and aligning onboarding with Midland's standards. The successful candidate will mentor teams and drive continuous improvement across the terminal.

Qualifications

  • Education: University Degree in Transportation Management, Business Administration, Operations Management or related discipline.
  • Experience: 7-10 years of progressive leadership experience in transportation or courier operations.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
  • Strong critical thinking, problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and develop team.

  • Lead terminal operations to achieve targets for cost control, safety, service quality, and asset utilization.
  • Demonstrate excellent leadership characteristics and the Irving Values.
  • Foster a highly engaged workforce through employee involvement and positive culture.
  • Implement the Irving Management System and a culture of continuous improvement at the terminal.
  • Collaborate with Sales to support growth and onboarding aligned with standards.
  • Develop, coach, and guide direct and indirect reports to strengthen team capability.

Midland Transport is currently seeking Terminal Manager for our Saint John Terminal. Reporting to Director, Operations - Atlantic, the Terminal Manager is responsible for daily operations of the terminal, ensuring efficient, safe, and cost?effective service delivery.
