Job summary

AgeCare in Toronto, Ontario is seeking a Nursing Unit Clerk to coordinate daily staffing in the Nursing Department and support a safe, resident-centered environment.

You will handle scheduling adjustments and overtime approvals, while maintaining attendance records and ensuring clear English communication across shifts. This role emphasizes accuracy, reliability, and teamwork in a long-term care setting.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Post-secondary education an asset.
• Exceptional English communication skills, both orally and in writing.
• May be required to obtain and maintain current CPR.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily staffing of the Nursing Department.
• Update staffing changes on the Master Schedule and daily compliments.
• Obtain approval for overtime work from the Director of Care.
• Maintain attendance/absenteeism reports and communicate any recurrent absenteeism to the Director of Care.
