Job summary

Generations Toronto is seeking a Nursing Unit Clerk to coordinate daily staffing for the Nursing Department and support a safe, secure environment for residents and staff. The role involves updating the Master Schedule, arranging replacements and obtaining overtime approvals from the Director of Care.

Excellent English communication skills are essential; CPR certification may be required. Salary ranges from $18.00 to $22.00 per hour, with placement based on qualifications and experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Post-secondary education an asset.
• Exceptional English communication skills, both orally and in writing.
• May be required to obtain and maintain CPR.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily staffing of the Nursing Department and update the Master Schedule.
• Assist in maintaining a safe environment for residents, visitors and staff.
• Obtain overtime approvals from the Director of Care.
• Maintain attendance/absenteeism reports and communicate absences.
