Job summary

AgeCare is seeking a Nursing Unit Clerk to coordinate daily staffing in the Nursing Department and support a safe, secure environment for residents and staff. This role requires organizing call-in replacements and updating the Master Schedule to reflect changes.

Qualifications include a High School diploma, English proficiency, and CPR as a possible requirement. Salary is $23.93 per hour, with placement based on qualifications and experience.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Post-secondary education an asset.
• Exceptional English communication skills, both orally and in writing.
• May be required to obtain and maintain current CPR.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate staffing and scheduling for the Nursing Department, including daily call-in replacements.
• Update staffing changes on the Master Schedule and daily compliments.
• Obtain approval for overtime work from the Director of Care.
• Maintain attendance/absenteeism reports and communicate recurrent absenteeism to the Director of Care.
