Qualifications

  • Scheduling or clerical/administrative experience in healthcare or long-term care preferred.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, PCC/EHR, and collective agreements asset.
  • Strong organizational, time-management, and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities; able to work with nursing team.

Responsibilities

  • Greets visitors and maintains Residents' Bill of Rights in all interactions.
  • Answers phones and assists visitors and guests on arrival.
  • Assists with staff scheduling and replacements.
  • Performs clerical duties per Occupational Health and Safety policies.
  • Maintains records and resident profiles in PCC/EHR systems.
  • Assists with payroll entry and admissions preparation; enters demographics.
  • Orders staff name badges and handles typing/photocopying tasks.
  • Schedules appointments and supports resident chart maintenance and weekly filing.
