Job summary
Langara College in Vancouver, BC is seeking a part-time Nursing Simulation Laboratory Technician to support the NSC operations and simulation program. The role includes preparing and dismantling equipment, programming mannequins, and providing basic technical support to educators and students.
The position reports to the Division Chair, Nursing and works with lab demonstrators to ensure a safe, effective and collegial NSC environment.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, technology, or health-related field preferred; associate degree also acceptable.
- Minimum two (2) years of related work experience.
- Experience with video and audio recording equipment.
- Experience operating nursing simulation equipment and demonstrating equipment to others.
Responsibilities
- Operate and support NSC simulation and recording technology.
- Program mannequins for simulation scenarios and manage recorded sessions.
- Maintain equipment, perform routine maintenance and safety monitoring, and assist educators and students.
