Job summary

Stenberg College in Lower Mainland, British Columbia, is seeking part-time, on-site Clinical Instructors for the Health Care Assistant (HCA) and Practical Nursing (PN) programs. The contract role begins January 2027, offering compensation of $36.00-$57.00 per hour.

You will mentor students, connect classroom learning to clinical practice, and maintain professional liaison with clinical partners while monitoring progress and providing ongoing feedback throughout the experiences.

Qualifications

• Current full registration with British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM) as an LPN or RN and in good standing.
• Two or more years of full-time Canadian nursing experience as an LPN or RN.
• Experience in Acute Care or Long Term Care settings.
• Experience in working with older adults with complex health needs; SPECO curriculum completed and up to date.

Responsibilities

• Provide Mentorship – Share clinical knowledge, monitor student progress, provide ongoing feedback, and support students during clinical learning.
• Support Student Learning – Help students connect classroom knowledge to real-world clinical practice and build skills and confidence.
• Be a Liaison – Represent Stenberg College professionally and maintain communication with students, clinical partners, and the College.
• Monitor Progress – Offer guidance and feedback throughout clinical and preceptorship experiences and identify opportunities for additional support.
