Job summary

Northern Lights College Fort Nelson campus is seeking a part-time Instructor for Health Sciences to teach Health Care Assistant labs and clinical practicums, with nursing scope coverage as needed.

The position reports to the Dean of Health Sciences and Human Services and offers a BCGEU framework salary, pro-rated vacation, and extended health and dental benefits. Occasional travel between campuses may be required.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Practical Nursing or BSN required.
• Currently licensed as LPN/RPN/RN/NP with BC College of Nurses and Midwives.
• 3–5 years of recent Canadian nursing experience (full-time equivalent).
• Completed Indigenous cultural safety coursework or humility training.
• Must hold PIDP or enroll within five years; college may assist.

Responsibilities

• Teach Health Care Assistant lab courses and clinical practicums in Fort Nelson.
• Teach nursing care and assessment within LPN scope as needed.
• Occasional travel between campuses.
• Provide clinical instruction in acute or residential care facilities.
