Job summary

American Iron & Metal (AIM) is seeking a Non-Ferrous Receiver for our Sudbury South location. Under the Site Manager, you will maintain the yard, sort and move materials, and help with loading trucks. You will keep the work area clean and safe, and support other yard staff as needed.

Role requires forklift experience, ability to work outdoors in all weather, and physical stamina to handle up to 50 lbs. AIM offers full-time permanent employment with vacation, benefits and RRSP matching.

Qualifications

• Experience operating a forklift.
• Experience in metal recycling is an asset.
• Experience with computer software, including Microsoft Office, is an asset.
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Able to perform physically demanding work, including standing, bending and lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Customer service experience in retail is preferred.
• Reliable, safety-conscious and team-oriented.
• Excellent attendance and safety record.

Responsibilities

• Sort, move and organize materials throughout the yard.
• Assist with loading and unloading trucks and containers.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organized work area.
• Support equipment operators and other yard personnel as needed.
• Follow all company health and safety policies and procedures.
• Perform other general labour duties as assigned.
