Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of manufacturing experience.
• Minimum 2 years supervisory experience.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, esp. Excel.
• Experience with ERP systems; SAP knowledge is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Direct supervision of night shift production crews to ensure safe, productive operations.
• Analyze work orders to estimate hours and create schedules.
• Verify inventory sufficiency and requisition from production yards.
• Interpret customer specifications and assign duties.
• Interface with sales to meet deadlines.
• Coordinate quality inspections for compliance to standards.
• Adjust work procedures to meet schedules and targets.
• Develop and implement measures to improve methods, environment, equipment, and quality.
• Maintain time and production records.
• Contribute to the company safety program.
• Verify priorities with shipper/receiver for pole orders.
• Check kiln operations/treating for CCA treated pole orders.
• Program labels into database if needed.
• Place orders with Production Manager/Plant Maintenance for equipment/tools.
• Check pole trailers after loading for accuracy.
• Loader and equipment training.
• Keep team educated, engaged and promote safe behavior.
