Job summary

Mitchell Plastics in Kitchener, Ontario, is seeking a highly motivated full-time Production Supervisor for the Night Shift. You will oversee production on the 11 pm–7 am shift, coordinate cross-functional teams, and ensure timely, quality output in a just-in-time manufacturing environment.

The role requires 3 years of supervisory manufacturing experience, strong leadership and communication skills, and the ability to manage safety, housekeeping, and continuous improvement initiatives on the shop

Qualifications

• 3 Years’ Supervisory Experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong Leadership Skills.
• Exemplary Communication & Conflict Resolution Skills.
• Analytical Problem-Solving & Decision-Making Abilities.
• Preference will be given to candidates with plastic injection moulding and/or automotive industry experience.

Responsibilities

• Organize all resources to produce products according to the current schedule and quality standards.
• Correct deviations from schedule or advise Production Manager and Scheduler if needed.
• Ensure parts meet First-offs and conform to established quality standards.
• Lead Shop Floor to maintain productivity, morale and safety; ensure good housekeeping.
• Collaborate with Production Manager and HR to hire, train, and address attendance and conduct.
• Ensure procedures for Quality Assurance, Inventory Control and Production Control are followed.
• Ensure preventive maintenance is carried out on tools and equipment.
