Job summary

New School Foods Inc. in Toronto is seeking a Night Supervisor for a full-time, onsite role on the 10pm–6am shift. You’ll oversee Production Operators, enforce safety and cleanliness, and ensure regulatory compliance.

The role focuses on maintaining production flow, setting up equipment, and supporting packaging while driving quality and efficiency through proactive process improvements.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising production teams (2-5 years).
• Experience on a small production or pilot line is beneficial.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies used in manufacturing.
• Ability to lift and move small equipment weighing up to 40 lbs.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
• Excellent communication skills and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a team of Production Operators as they complete production tasks.
• Enforce safety best practices.
• Maintain a clean and organized production space, including offices, common areas, and laboratory facilities.
• Adhere to cleanliness practices outlined by company policies and regulatory guidelines.
• Proactively identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance cleanliness and efficiency.
• Complete various steps of production, including weighing and measuring ingredients, operating machinery, and supporting packaging tasks.
• Implement changes to the production line as directed by management.
• Set up small appliances on the production line and ensure they are functioning correctly.
• Problem-solve issues during production, escalating to management as needed.
• Support quality initiatives, following guidelines to ensure product integrity.

This role will be onsite at our Toronto Facility. The shift will run from 10pm - 6am

As a Night Supervisor, you will:
