ABOUT THE ROLE:

Working at the center of strategy, data, and customer partnership, the National Account Analyst plays a critical role in maximizing the performance of Castrol-brand product assortments nationwide. Partnering closely with Strategic Account Managers, customers, and cross-functional teams, you’ll help shape how products perform across the different categories.

Beyond the numbers, you’ll build strong customer relationships by supporting key cross-functional initiatives and managing day-to-day account activities that reinforce the company’s position as a trusted, preferred vendor. If you love turning data into action and strategy into results, this is a role where your impact will be felt every day.

What You’ll Do:
  • Design and execute product assortments using category management strategies to maximize availability and performance
  • Lead new product launches from planning through execution, ensuring timelines are met and all product and display requirements are in place
  • Analyze product lifecycle performance, develop data-driven recommendations, secure cross-functional alignment, and implement actions to optimize inventory flow
  • Continuously improve assortment planning and lifecycle management processes—both tactically and strategically
  • Forecast promotional and sales opportunities while developing smart exit strategies for surplus or obsolete products
  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders to ensure assortment strategies are clearly understood and flawlessly executed
  • Support critical data initiatives, including line reviews and vendor transitions
  • Become the go-to expert on retailer replenishment systems and how they integrate with internal tools to better serve customers
  • Collaborate closely with Customer Care and Supply Chain teams to proactively resolve issues that may impact order flow
  • Work hand-in-hand with the Strategic Account Manager, providing ongoing analytical and operational support
  • Take the lead on cross-functional customer projects, driving alignment and execution
  • Contribute to special projects and strategic initiatives as opportunities arise
  • Self-starter who works independently, takes ownership, and operates with integrity
  • Highly detail-driven and action-oriented with a strong sense of accountability
  • Proven ability to respond quickly and professionally to urgent or time-sensitive requests while maintaining customer satisfaction
  • Exceptional focus and adaptability in environments with frequently changing priorities
  • Strategic, systems-level thinker who delivers long-term solutions rather than one-off fixes
  • Strong prioritization skills to manage multiple demands in a fast-paced setting
  • Proactive in anticipating issues and recommending effective courses of action
  • Comfortable identifying, analyzing, and planning for change
  • Confident decision-maker with strong negotiating and problem-solving abilities
  • Quick learner who adopts new procedures efficiently and maintains high performance standards
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a collaborative, discreet approach
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with all levels of the organization
Education/Experience
  • College or university degree in Business Administration or related field would be an asset.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience with retailer and national account systems (Retail Link, Vendor Gateway, Infoshare, CRX).
  • Must possess strong PC skills and strong Microsoft Suite (including Dynamics AX) and advanced Excel
  • Logistics or manufacturing experience, including knowledge of supply chain processes would be an asset.
  • Proven understanding of forecasting systems and processes.
