Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Commerce, Analytics, Supply Chain, or a related field.
• Approximately 2–5 years of experience in retail analytics, sales analysis, category management, demand planning, replenishment, or related field.
• Experience working with retailer point-of-sale and inventory data.
• Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, formulas) and ability to translate data into actionable recommendations.
• Experience with Power BI is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Analyze retail sales, POS, inventory, sell-through and replenishment data across products, stores, regions, and time periods.
• Identify trends, out-of-stocks, excess inventory, and opportunities; recommend product assortments and SKU mixes.
• Prepare reports, dashboards, and presentations communicating insights clearly.

The Job!

The Junior Analyst will analyze retail sales, point-of-sale, inventory, sell-through, and replenishment data across products, stores, regions, and time periods. You will also:

• Identify sales trends, high- and low-performing SKUs, out-of-stocks, excess inventory, and other opportunities.
• Recommend optimal product assortments and SKU mixes by retailer, store group, and market.
• Identify opportunities to add, remove, expand, or reposition products within retail assortments.
• Develop replenishment recommendations based on sales velocity, inventory levels, lead times, and seasonal demand.
• Monitor in-stock performance and identify potential inventory shortages or overstock risks.
• Evaluate new product performance and provide recommendations for continued distribution or expansion.
• Prepare reports, dashboards, and presentations that communicate insights and recommended actions clearly.
• Support retailer line reviews, assortment planning, forecasting, and annual business planning.
• Collaborate with Sales, Operations, Marketing, and Supply Chain teams to align forecasts, inventory, and customer requirements.
• Measure the impact of assortment and replenishment changes and continuously refine recommendations.
• Maintain accurate, organized retail data and translate findings into actionable business insights.

What you bring to the job

The ideal candidate is someone with strong Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, formulas, and data analysis. You also come with:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce, Analytics, Supply Chain, Finance, or a related field.
• Approximately 2–5 years of experience in retail analytics, sales analysis, category management, demand planning, replenishment, or a related field.
• Experience working with retailer point-of-sale and inventory data.
• Strong ability to identify trends and translate data into clear, commercially focused recommendations.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working independently and collaboratively.
• Experience with major retailer portals or reporting platforms is an asset.
• Experience with Power BI is preferred.
• Knowledge of retail assortment planning, forecasting, and replenishment is an asset.
• Experience working within a consumer-products, retail, or retail-supplier environment is preferred.
• Familiarity with Walmart Retail Link or similar retail analytics platforms is an asset.

Expected Compensation: CAD $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per annum.
