Site Overview

This role covers government facilities and parking lots across Winnipeg and surrounding regional areas. Working as part of a two-person team, guards help maintain orderly access for provincial employees and visitors across various urban and rural locations.

Position Overview

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 0800-1600

What You'll Be Doing

Working closely with a partner, you will patrol designated Province of Manitoba parking lots to ensure all parked vehicles have valid authorization. You will use a client-provided vehicle for mobile patrols and conduct walking patrols at specific locations.

Conduct mobile and foot patrols across assigned government parking facilities.

Verify that parked vehicles hold valid provincial permits.

Issue warning tickets to first-time non-compliant drivers and monetary citations to habitual offenders using designated authority granted by the Province of Manitoba.

Drive safely in varied environments, including city streets, rural routes, and highways.

Travel at least once per week to locations outside Winnipeg, such as Portage la Prairie and the Milner Ridge Correctional Facility.

Interact professionally with visitors and staff, delivering helpful customer service and de-escalating tense situations when necessary.

Must Haves

Valid Manitoba Driver's License with a clean Driver's Abstract.

Comfort and confidence driving in urban, rural, and highway settings.

Valid Manitoba Security Guard License.

Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service and de-escalation.

High level of organization and attention to detail.

Ability to carry out mobile and active foot patrols in all seasonal weather conditions.
