Job summary

Castolin Eutectic is seeking a Business Development Manager – Mining to develop opportunities across Timmins and surrounding communities from a home-based office. You will identify untapped prospects, build relationships with decision-makers, and drive the adoption of wear protection technologies and services.

You will manage a strategic territory, create a robust pipeline, and collaborate with services and product teams to deliver tailored solutions.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to prospect for new business and convert leads into customers.
• Experience with cold calling, outbound sales, and new account acquisition.
• Hunter mentality with persistence to approach new prospects and turn initial resistance into productive conversations.
• Experience selling technical products, industrial services, or engineered solutions in mining, manufacturing, construction, or other heavy industries.
• Strong commercial instincts and the ability to uncover customer needs and communicate business value.
• Mechanical aptitude and a basic understanding of maintenance, repair welding, or industrial wear management.
• Excellent communication, relationship-building, organizational, and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Open new doors by pursuing mining and heavy industrial accounts.
• Generate a pipeline via cold calling, outreach, networking, site visits and referrals.
• Turn prospects into customers by engaging maintenance, reliability, engineers, procurement professionals, and other stakeholders.
• Develop territory with a strategic plan for growth and profitability.
• Sell wear protection solutions like CDP wearplate, CastoChrome, Castodur, LaserClad.
• Maintain a robust CRM pipeline and provide visibility on sales opportunities.
• Collaborate with services and product teams to tailor solutions and win business.
• Meet sales, revenue, and gross profit targets while expanding presence in the region.
• Represent Castolin Eutectic at industry events and trade shows.
